How to make it

  • Cook the pasta according to directions to al dente
  • Heat a 2 T of the olive oil in a pan
  • Add the tomatoes, sugar, and half the pesto to the pan
  • Heat over medium heat until hot and reduce to low heat.
  • Drain the hot pasta
  • Toss with the rest of the olive oil and pesto
  • Add the tomato sauce and the mozzarella cheese, toss well
  • Salt and pepper to taste
