Grilled Lime Tofu With Lime Mayo

- 1 block, firm or ultra firm tofu shopping list
- fresh garlic minced as desired shopping list
- fresh ginger grated as desired shopping list
- fresh grated pepper, salt to taste shopping list
- splash of oriental sesame seed oil shopping list
- juice from 2 limes, grate the zest and save for the lime mayonnaise shopping list
- lime mayonnaise: shopping list
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise shopping list
- fresh lime juice from 1 large lime, and reserved lime zest shopping list
- dash sugar if desired shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- Optional basil leaves for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Drain tofu well
- Slice tofu into 6 to 8 pieces
- Place in a zip lock plastic bag
- Add the squeezed lime juice, garlic and ginger, splash of sesame oil to taste
- Let marinade all day or overnight.
- To grill:
- remove from zip lock bag, pat tofu dry
- salt and pepper to taste
- Grill on a sheet of foil over high heat, turning to brown/grill each side
- Meanwhile prepare lime mayo by mixing ingredients to taste
- Serve on the tofu or on the side
