Tomato Corn Chowder

- 2 Slices bacon, fried and crumbled shopping list
- 4 potatoes, pared and cubed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon onion powder shopping list
- 1 cup canned tomatoes, with liquid shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 2 cups corn kernels shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- freshly ground pepper shopping list
- dash of hot pepper sauce shopping list
- paprika shopping list
How to make it
- place bacon, potatoes, onion powder, tomatoes and liquid in water in large saucepan over moderate heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. While stirring well, add milk, then corn hernels, and season with salt, pepper, and hot pepper sauce. Continue to simmer 40 minutes, or until potatoes are very soft. Mash potatoes in pot with a spoon. If liquid has reduced appreciably, add a bit more milk. Dust each serving with paprika for color and flavor.
