How to make it

  • Brown bacon in pan.
  • Add onion part way through to soften onions.
  • Put one cup of water along with a bouillon cube, bay leaf, potatoes, carrots and bacon and onion. Simmer all for 10-15 min until vegetables are tender.
  • Make cream sauce with butter and flour.
  • Add milk to desired thickness (I usually use 2 1/2 cups) .
  • Allow to thicken, continually stirring.
  • Add creamed corn and vegetables once tender (do not drain).
  • Heat through, do not boil.
  • Can serve with shredded cheese and buns!
