critterwiches
From dimensionality 18 years agoIngredients
- Older frying pan, preferably cast iron shopping list
- 2 slices of whole wheat, rye or pumpernickle bread shopping list
- butter shopping list
- 2 slices of cheese ( your preference ) shopping list
- slice of tomato ( skinned ) shopping list
How to make it
- Peel the skin from the tomato and slice it fairly thick.
- Lightly butter two slices of bread.
- Place 1 piece of bread, butter side down, in frying pan.
- Place 1 slice of cheese on bread.
- Place tomato slice on top.
- Place the other slice of cheese ojn top.
- Place remaining slice of bread, buttered side up, on top.
- Use cookie cutters or sharp knife to design ghost, bat and other critter shapes out of the sandwiches.
- Fry on low heat to prevent butter from burning.
- You will want to use an older pan for this to prevent it from getting scratches when creating your design.
- Leftover pieces can be fried in the same pan and used for top decorations unless, of course, you have a hungry canine garbage disposal.
- The larger the cookie cutter is the less waste there will be.
- Don't forget to throw those tomato skins in the compost bin now.
