How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 340 F.
  • Slightly melt butter and cream butter and sugar together.
  • Mix in the dry ingredients in the butter mixture and make a hard dough.
  • Do not add water or milk. The dough would be hard and should break easily.
  • Make small round balls (makes around 16 - 18 cookies), press a pinch of crushed pistachios on top.
  • Bake on a lined cookie sheet on medium rack for 12 – 15 mins until the edges are slightly brown.
  • Do not overcook. Let stand on a rack until cold. Enjoy.
