- 1 stick unsalted butter (i.e. ½ cup) shopping list
- ¾ cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/3 cup besan (gramflour) shopping list
- 1 tsp ilaichi ( cardamom) powder shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 2 tbsp Crushed pistachios shopping list
- A pinch of baking soda or eno (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Pre-heat oven to 340 F.
- Slightly melt butter and cream butter and sugar together.
- Mix in the dry ingredients in the butter mixture and make a hard dough.
- Do not add water or milk. The dough would be hard and should break easily.
- Make small round balls (makes around 16 - 18 cookies), press a pinch of crushed pistachios on top.
- Bake on a lined cookie sheet on medium rack for 12 – 15 mins until the edges are slightly brown.
- Do not overcook. Let stand on a rack until cold. Enjoy.
