How to make it

  • Mix chickpeas and rice. We found it's best when coarsely blended otherwise it falls apart too easily. But don't go so far as to puree it.
  • Add in green onion, garlic, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix in egg. Form into half inch patties.
  • Heat olive oil in frying pam. Cook patties until browned, about 5 each side.
  • Serve with mustard, tomato and chopped lettuce. (or any other garnish you can think of...sriracha sauce, onion?

    sounds good. i will be able to eat grain in a few weeks, so i'm looking forward to yummy brown rice recipes. :)
