How to make it

  • In a saucepan, combine rice, butter, garlic, 1 tsp lime juice, chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low 15-20 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat. In a small bowl combine the remaining lime juice, sugar and cilantro. Pour over hot cooked rice and mix in as you fluff up the rice.

    Sounds good but I would like to know what type of rice you are using. I normally use long grain brown rice which takes 45 mins. to cook under normal circumstances. Is it okay to use brown rice?
