Tamarind Stir Fried Chicken With Mushrooms

- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil shopping list
- 12 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 4 ounces mushrooms (use any kind you want), sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup onions, sliced shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 Tbsp Tamarind Concentrate shopping list
- 2 Tbsp water shopping list
- 1 cup bean sprouts shopping list
- 3-4 Thai bird eye chilies, seeded and minced (reduce or increase the amount as per your taste and feel free to substitute with any form of pepper) shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped basil shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a wok/ whatever dish you normally use to saute stuff.
- Season chicken with salt, sugar and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the pan and stir-fry for 2 mins.
- Add mushrooms, onions and garlic. Continue to cook for another 2-3 mins.
- Add tamarind and water. Stir.
- Add the remaining ingredients. Adjust seasonings to taste and serve with rice/noodles/congee.
