How to make it

  • Place flour in a bowl to form a crown, add butter, cream, egg yolks and molasses, vanilla essence, integrating the ingredients go together with the flour little by little, until dough is tender, add if necessary a few tablespoons of milk. Bringing the mass to be cooled for 1 hour. Roll dough to 1 cm thick and cover a greased and floured pan previously. Fill with plum jam, sprinkle with chopped nuts covered. Beat egg whites until stiff, add sugar and beat to form a meringue, add the baking soda and continue whipping. Finally cover the pie with meringue, spreading it. Bring to gentle oven until meringue is browned. Let cool and cut into squares of 4 cm
