How to make it

  • In medium saucepan, sauté carrot, celery, onion, and garlic in oil until softened.
  • Add basil, broth, tomatoes, and paste. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer about five minutes until vegetables are soft.
  • If desired, process soup in two batches in blender until smooth; return to saucepan.
  • Add cream and parsley, if using, and heat through.

    I love grilled cheese and campbells tomato soup. My dad used to make that for us when we were kids. This sounds great. Thanks for sharing
