Denny's Beans & Rice Casserole

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef shopping list
- 1/4 cup dehydrated onions shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 cups beef stock, divided shopping list
- 1 cup rice shopping list
- 1 14.5 oz can cannellini beans, drained shopping list
- 1 14.5 oz can pinto beans, undrained shopping list
- 1 packet brown gravy mix shopping list
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Make rice using 2 cups of beef stock
- In a small bowl, rehydrate the onions with 1 cup of hot water. Allow to sit 15 minutes
- Add ground beef to a large saute pan
- When meat is partially browned, add onions and water
- Allow this to cook until water has evaporated
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more
- Add beans, worchestershire and red pepper flakes
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Add 1 cup beef stock and gravy mix
- Stir until thickened
- Spray a glass baking dish with veggie spray
- Add the rice and spread out evenly
- Add the meat mixture and spread
- Top with cheese
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese has melted
