Ingredients

  • 1 T ground flax seed (golden flax seed is preferred - this will not result in little brown specks in the final product) I also recommend grinding your own flax in a coffee grinder. This will give you a better texture then flax meal you buy already ground, it will be fresher and way cheaper too! shopping list
  • Warm water shopping list

How to make it

  • Place the 1 T Ground Flax into a 1/4 cup measuring container
  • Add warm water to equal 1/4 cup
  • Stir and let sit for 3 minutes till gooey
  • Can be used in pancakes, muffins and cookies
  • I have not tried this in cakes - but more then likely it would work well in cakes as well. This mixture emulsifies well and adds Omega 3's to the finished product as well as fiber.

    thank you for your research. I am keeping (when I find a 2nd coffee grinder, I'll try!) This is actually another avenue for ingesting flax.
