Easy Garlic Dill Refrigerator Pickles

- 2 lbs cucumbers shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 2 tbsp pickling salt (or kosher salt) shopping list
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled (2 per jar) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper per jar (3/4 tsp total) shopping list
- 1 tsp dill seed per jar (3 tsp total) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black peppercorns per jar (1 1/2 tsp total) shopping list
How to make it
- Wash and slice cucumbers (spears or slices)
- In a large saucepan, combine vinegar, water and salt. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- Arrange jars on counter and dole out spices to each. Pack the cucumbers firmly into the jars.
- Pour the brine into the jars, leaving approximately 1/2" space at top.
- Tap jars gently on countertop to remove any air bubbles.
- Apply lids and let jars cool. When they've cooled, place in refrigerator.
- Let them sit for 48 hours before eating.
