How to make it

  • Mix yeast with sugar and 1 cup of warm milk. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Pour in the remaining milk, water, flour, salt and mix everything well. Don't leave any lumps.
  • Put in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Take a frying pan and put it on the stove. Let it get really hot, but while baking pancakes, make the heat low.
  • Pour the batter in a little jug and pour enough to make a 7-8cm diameter [3in] circles - u don't have to form them.
  • Bake only on one side. At first you will start seeing bubbles and then the top will start becoming dry. When the top is dry - the pancake is ready. Put it on a kitchen towel and cover with another one - don't put them one on the another because they will stick together,
  • Fillings

  • For curd filling - mix curd and sugar
  • For apple filling - peel and grate an apple, mix with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Final baking

  • Put some fillinf in the center of the pancake and fold it well.
  • Spread with melted butter and put them on a baking paper in a baking tray.
  • Bake in a preheated oven [180C - 356F] for 10-15 minutes.
