How to make it

  • Add brown rice, lentils, water, soy sauce, grapeseed oil and sugar to pot on medium heat. Cook on stovetop for 30-40 minutes uncovered, Stirring every 5 minutes till desired chewiness is achieved.
  • Add coconut milk, allspice, cinnamon, curry powder and sriracha sauce to brown rice and lentils, stir until incorporated. Turn heat down to medium-low and cook for additional 5 minutes.
  • Serve in whole wheat burrito wraps with fresh slices of avocado, garlic and red onion with a dollop of low fat yogurt if you are feeling fancy for a heart healthy meal.
