- 1 ounce sugar shopping list
- 1 ounce salt shopping list
- 1/2-ounce garlic powder shopping list
- 1 pound onions, minced shopping list
- 1 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- 2 teaspoons liquid browning (soy sauce can be substituted) shopping list
- 1 bunch scallions, minced shopping list
- 2 tomatoes, diced shopping list
- 1/3 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 2 cans butter beans, drained shopping list
- cornstarch mixed with cold water, if necessary shopping list
How to make it
- Directions
- Put all of the ingredients in a 10 to 12-quart pot except for the beans. Fill with enough water to cover everything. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium or medium-low and cook for 2 hours or until tender. Add the beans and stir. Thicken with cornstarch, if necessary.
