How to make it

  • In a large soup or stock pot, melt butter or margarine over medium heat; Add mushrooms and onion and saute until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg over vegetables; stir to blend well.
  • Whisk, in water, cream sour cream and lobster stock
  • Bring to a boil, whisk till thickened
  • Stir in cooked lobster meat if using
  • Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes
  • Serve and sprinkle on parsley
