How to make it

  • place two cups of the flour in a large bowl
  • add all the other dry ingredients
  • slowly pour in the milk and mix to get a wet soft dough
  • add the remaining 1 cup of flour
  • grease your hands, dust a large working surface with flour and turn the dough
  • knead the dough, adding more flour until you have a pliable smooth dough (6 minutes approximately)
  • grease the same bowl and place the dough in it and cover. allow to rise for 30 minutes
  • in the meantime grease a large baking tray and cover with foil or baking paper
  • in another bowl, mix the jam with the dry fruits
  • turn the dough which should have doubled in size on the working surface
  • knead and using a rolling pin, flatten to get a rectangular shape (u can do it in two batches)
  • once flatten enough, spread the jam and dry fruits mixture on the dough, avoiding the edges.
  • slowly roll the dough in a tube (like a swiss roll)
  • using a sharp knife, cut into 2 cm size rounds
  • using the knife to help you transfer to the baking tray so as to prevent the jam mixture form falling out
  • bake in a preheat oven for around 35-40 minutes, at 180 degrees celcius until golden brown
  • remove from oven, allow to cool, dust with icing sugar
  • enjoy
