Cocoa Syrup

Homemade sundae or "hot chocolate" syrup perfect for almost anything, including brownies for school! Makes about 2 cups, 16 (2-tbsp) servings
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups water shopping list
- ¾ cup sugar shopping list
- ½ cup cocoa powder shopping list
- ¼ tsp salt shopping list
- 3 tbsp cold water shopping list
- 1 tbsp cornstarch shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together in a saucepan over low heat.
- Whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to simmer.
- Whisk together cold water and cornstarch. Stir into the cocoa mixture and cook until thick.
