Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook onion and sausage until meat is browned; drain.
  • Add sauerkraut and 2 T bread crumbs; mix well.
  • Combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic salt, and pepper. Stir mixtures together.
  • Chill for about an hour, then shape into balls.
  • Put flour in one pan, combine milk and eggs and put in second pan, put bread crumbs in third pan.
  • Roll balls in flour, then in egg mixture, and finally in bread crumbs.
  • Brown in a skillet with a small amount of oil in it. When all sides are browned, place on a cookie sheet.
  • Place in a preheated 375^ oven for about 15 minutes.
  • *After browning balls, you may cool them off and freeze them for later use. Bake frozen balls for about 17-20 minutes.
  • **The hot sausage is also good used in this recipe.
  • ***Serve with Dijon mustard. Makes about 24 balls.

I never get a chance to freeze them, but if you like to make up food in advance, that works great!
