Sausage & Sauerkraut Balls

- 8 oz sausage, cooked and drained shopping list
- 1/3 c diced onion shopping list
- 1 16-oz can sauerkraut, drained and chopped shopping list
- 2 T bread crumbs shopping list
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 2 T chopped parsley shopping list
- 1 tsp prepared mustard shopping list
- dash garlic salt shopping list
- 2 T milk shopping list
- 2 eggs, well beaten shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 c flour shopping list
- 1/2 c bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Cook onion and sausage until meat is browned; drain.
- Add sauerkraut and 2 T bread crumbs; mix well.
- Combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic salt, and pepper. Stir mixtures together.
- Chill for about an hour, then shape into balls.
- Put flour in one pan, combine milk and eggs and put in second pan, put bread crumbs in third pan.
- Roll balls in flour, then in egg mixture, and finally in bread crumbs.
- Brown in a skillet with a small amount of oil in it. When all sides are browned, place on a cookie sheet.
- Place in a preheated 375^ oven for about 15 minutes.
- *After browning balls, you may cool them off and freeze them for later use. Bake frozen balls for about 17-20 minutes.
- **The hot sausage is also good used in this recipe.
- ***Serve with Dijon mustard. Makes about 24 balls.
