Ingredients

How to make it

  • Beat together the yoghurt, honey, gelatine, milk powder, cornstarch and cereal. Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Scoop yoghurt mixture into a Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off and pipe small drops on sheets of parchment paper cut to the size of your dehydrator trays (or baking sheets if freezing).
  • Dehydrate until completely firm and dry to the touch, about 6 hours (or up to overnight). Let cool to room temperature, then transfer to a zip-top bag. These store best in the fridge but can be kept in a cool, dry place as well.
  • If freezing, place sheets in the freezer overnight, then transfer to a zip-top bag and storing in the freezer.

Glad you liked them - even if they are designed as "pet food" they are definitely people friendly too

Fixed these yesterday and dehydrated them, I used Strawberry yoghurt. They ended up reminding me of strawberry kettle chips, strangely compelling. Not the same as the yoghurt drops that you buy in the stores, which are inedible for an adult.

OK the grandkidlings love the yoghurt drops...don't know why but they are kids so I guess that is reason enough. I will give this a try my next slow day. Sounds like fun, thank you.
