How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Mix together room temperature butter and peanut butter.
  • When blended, add white and brown sugar, mix again.
  • Then add egg, milk, and extract; mix again.
  • Gently stir in flour mixed with baking soda and salt.
  • Roll dough into grape-sized balls (chilling the dough for an hour makes the rolling easier), roll in crystallized white sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake about10 minutes, until lightly browned. Place an unwrapped kiss in the center of the cookies right away, pressing down gently. The cookies may crack around the edges, and that's fine. Remove from pan, let cool before storing in airtight container.
