Asian Meatballs With Hoisin Sauce

- 1 pound ground chuck shopping list
- 1 pound ground sausage shopping list
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil shopping list
- 1 cup panko crumbs shopping list
- ½ teaspoon ginger powder or 1 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped finely shopping list
- 16 whole water chestnuts, chopped coarsely shopping list
- 6 green onions, sliced thinly, including part of the green tops shopping list
- 6 additional green onion, sliced thinly, for garnish at serving shopping list
- hoisin sauce shopping list
- ½ cup hoisin sauce, found in the Asian food aisle shopping list
- 4 tablespoons rice vinegar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 8 whole water chestnuts, chopped coarsely shopping list
- ½ teaspoon powdered ginger or 1 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sauce ingredients together well, and leave out at room temp as you prepare and bake the meatballs.
- Prepare meatballs by mixing all meatballs ingredients together in a bowl.
- Shape into bite size meatballs and lay them on a baking sheet that has sides.
- Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until done.
- Serve immediately, drizzling the tops with some of the sauce and garnish with green onion slices.
- *Optional additions: Add however much you want of crushed red pepper flakes, if you want some heat in the meatballs OR add it to the sauce, or both if you really like heat!

This sounds great. We don't buy beef, so I wonder how it would taste with ground chicken. Must try this one.
