How to make it

  • Sauté Diced Onions and garlic in butter 4-5 minutes
  • Add Diced Ginger and sauté another 3 or so minutes
  • Gradually blend in flour and Kosher Salt and cook until mixture begins to brown
  • Add Chicken Stock and carrots and bring to boil for just a moment.
  • Add beer (If you add the beer before this boils it foams all over everything!)
  • Remove from heat and use Blender Stick and blend until smooth
  • Stir in Sour Cream
  • (The first time I made this it was too “watery” so I added cornstarch mixed with water to thicken it)
