My Chili

- 2 lb. italian sausage (venison, ground beef, ground turkey, or even bison) shopping list
- I like to use two different kinds of meat. shopping list
- 1 medium yellow onion (diced) shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic (minced) shopping list
- 1 large can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 regular can (15 oz.) Original Rotel tomatoes shopping list
- 4 Tbsp. tomato paste shopping list
- 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 (15 oz.) can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed) shopping list
- dash of cayenne pepper (or to taste) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1/4 cup chili powder shopping list
How to make it
- Brown and drain meat of choice (my favorite is venison/beef combo). Add onion and minced garlic, cook until opaque.
- Add rest of ingredients. Mix well. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cover. Stir occasionally. Cook for 1 hour at a simmer.
- Serve with macaroni noodles, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese. AND of course corn bread! Enjoy!
