- ¼ cup ground flaxseed shopping list
- ⅓ cup warm water shopping list
- ⅓ cup non-hydrogenated shortening shopping list
- ⅓ cup brown sugar shopping list
- ⅓ cup blackstrap molasses shopping list
- ¼ cup honey shopping list
- 1 cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- ⅓ cup vanilla or plain whey protein powder (or skim milk powder) shopping list
- ¼ cup wheat bran shopping list
- ¼ cup wheat germ shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- ¼ tsp baking soda shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 cup grated raw carrots shopping list
- 1 cup rolled oats shopping list
- ¼ cup raisins shopping list
- ¼ cup diced dates shopping list
- ¼ cup diced figs shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 400 F.
- Whisk together flaxseed and warm water. Set aside
- Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and honey
- Beat in the dry ingredients, then add carrots, oats, raisins, dates and figs, mixing well.
- Cover with plastic and refrigerate overnight.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lined cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
