Fettuccine With Bacon-clam Sauce

- 4 ounces uncooked fettuccine shopping list
- 1 can (6-1/2 ounces) chopped clams shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves pressed shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese shopping list
- 4 bacon strips, cooked until crispy and crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Put water on to boil fettuccine noodles.
- 2. Drain clams, reserving 1/4 cup juice. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, pepper, clams and reserved juice.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- 3. Stir in the cream and stir until heated, add Parmesan cheese. Continue to heat on medium until cheese is incorporated, stirring constantly. Add bacon.
- 4. The sauce should lightly coat the back of a spoon if it's thicker than desired white wine is great to thin it out. Drain the fettuccine and stir into the sauce.
