How to make it

  • 1. Put water on to boil fettuccine noodles.
  • 2. Drain clams, reserving 1/4 cup juice. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, pepper, clams and reserved juice.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  • 3. Stir in the cream and stir until heated, add Parmesan cheese. Continue to heat on medium until cheese is incorporated, stirring constantly. Add bacon.
  • 4. The sauce should lightly coat the back of a spoon if it's thicker than desired white wine is great to thin it out. Drain the fettuccine and stir into the sauce.
