Asiago-parmesan Pear Bread

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp fresh cracked pepper (optional) shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated asiago cheese shopping list
- 2/3 cup grated parmesan shopping list
- 1/3 cup softened unsalted butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 2/3 cups plain Greek yogurt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups (approx) peeled, cored diced pears (I used 2 Bartlett pears - very ripe!) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Greased a 9"x5" loaf pan.
- Whisk or sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pepper; set aside.
- I large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Blend in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in yogurt. Add flour mixture, 1/3 at a time, mixing until just blended each time.
- Scrape into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 - 60 minutes, or until tester inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 15 minutes, then remove and cool on wire rack.
