Chocolate Sauce

- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 5 squares semisweet or bittersweet chocolate shopping list
- 1 Tbs butter shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 Tbs rum kirsch or any other liqueur (optional) I use Kahlua shopping list
How to make it
- Combine milk and sugar in heavy-bottom saucepan.
- Cook, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
- Add small pieces of chocolate, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes, until sauce is smooth.
- Remove from heat and add butter, stir until melted, add vanilla extract. Liqueur may be added if desired.
- This sauce is so good!!! Mixed in vanilla ice cream or topping it. Also good drizzled over bread pudding.
