How to make it

  • Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a large skillet or sauce pan. Dice the bacon, and fry until almost cooked. Dice the onion and apples, mix together. Dice the garlic cloves and add. Place in skillet and fry slowly until onion is translucent. Add spices.
  • Add about 3 cups of water and bring to a boil. Place turkey neck or giblets in water and cook until done. (Remove neck and set aside for use in stuffing.)
  • Add four, about 1/4 cup to start, more as needed. Cook and stir until desired thickness.
