Fruit Pie Filling Or Topping

- 9 Peaches (OR apples, OR about 4 cups of berries) shopping list
- 1.5 cups White Granular Sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon Salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons Flour shopping list
How to make it
- Thinly slice or chop fruit (if using large fruit like Peaches/Apples) into roughly same sized pieces. If using berries you need to crush blueberries / blackberries / raspberries. For strawberries, you need 4 cups of sliced berries.
- Put fruit into a large seal-able container.
- Add Sugar, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Salt, Vanilla and flour.
- Seal container and shake to thoroughly mix everything.
- Let sit in refrigerator for 24-48 hours.
- Ready for use as pie filling or fruit crisp.
- For topping, put into a sauce pan and bring to a simmer and allow to thicken.
