How to make it

  • Heat the oven to 400°F and place the pie crust in a pan on a baking sheet.
  • In a bowl, beat together the syrup, honey, sugar, vanilla, salt, cornstarch and pecan butter until well combined.
  • Mix in eggs, being careful not to whip too much air into the mixture.
  • Fold in pecans.
  • Pour into the shell and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Lower the temperature to 350°F and bake 35 minutes longer, until centre is set but a little "jiggly" when the pan is shaken.
  • Chill overnight before serving.
