- funnel shopping list
- ½ cup table sugar shopping list

- Juice of one lemon shopping list
- 8 cups fresh pure water (non-chlorine), chlorine kills yeast shopping list
How to make it
- Add sugar, yeast and Splenda to 2-liter bottle with funnel.
- Mix grated ginger and lemon juice. Add to bottle.
- Rinse funnel clean with a couple cups of water and shake bottle to mix and dissolve ingredients.
- Add rest of water, leaving 1 to 2” air space at the top of the bottle.
- Tighten the lid and squeeze the bottle with your thumb to judge the carbonation level.
- Leave bottle in warm location for 24 to 48 hours, or until the bottle feels hard from carbonation.
- Check carbonation periodically by squeezing the bottle along with inverting it a couple of times to keep the ingredients mixed up.
- Once the bottle feels hard from carbonation, transfer it to the refrigerator and chill overnight. Refrigeration will stop the carbonation process.
- Filter the ginger ale through a strainer to serve.
- This does not taste exactly like store bought ginger ale or have the super fizzy taste of store bought carbonated ale but is still awesome.
