Barbecued Garlic Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 heads of garlic
  • 1 sprig of fresh rosemary (Fresh Oregano also may be used
  • 4 tbsp. of butter

Directions
  1. First you place the whole heads of garlic, prepared as for Roasted Garlic, on a sheet of your heavy-duty foil.
  2. Then you want top with butter (4 Tbsp per 8 Heads) and then a few sprigs of fresh rosemary or oregano.
  3. Now if the fresh herbs are unavailable, you can then substitute dried (2 tbsp of dried herbs for 8 heads of garlic).
  4. Next you want to fold the foil over the garlic and seal the package well.
  5. Finally you can then cook over hot coals for approx. 45 minutes, turning the package occasionally with tongs.

Oh my! I prepare onions like this sometimes (or add some beef bouillion for french onion soup hot off the grill), but I adore garlic and this sounds absolutely divine! I'm hoping to grill on Sunday, and this will definitely be on the menu.
