How to make it

  • Beef Tips:

  • Add all dry ingredients to crock-pot and stir.
  • Add wet ingredients and stir well, getting all the lumps out.
  • Add meat and stir.
  • Cook on high for 6 hours in crock-pot.
  • Mashed Taters:

  • Bring 5 cups water, 4 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground black pepper, and 2 sticks butter to a boil in a large pot on the stove, over high heat.
  • Once boiling, *TURN OFF HEAT*.
  • Add 4 cups milk.
  • Stir 6 cups instant mashed potato flakes in, slowly, stirring constantly.
  • (Add more or less flakes, depending on how thick you want the mashed potatoes.)
  • Stir, stir, stir, until it's smooth and creamy.
  • Serve beef tips over the mashed potatoes, or if you'd rather, you could serve it over white rice, or egg noodles.
