beef Tips:
- Crock-pot shopping list
- 1 packet dry brown gravy mix shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 2 tsp onion flakes shopping list
- 2 tsp celery flakes shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 3 cups water shopping list
- 4 lbs “boneless beef for carne picada” (that’s just what they call it at Kroger... you can use sirloin tips or whatever.) shopping list
Mashed Taters:
- Large pot shopping list
- 5 cups water shopping list
- 4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 4 cups milk shopping list
- 6 cups instant mashed potato flakes shopping list
How to make it
Beef Tips:
- Add all dry ingredients to crock-pot and stir.
- Add wet ingredients and stir well, getting all the lumps out.
- Add meat and stir.
- Cook on high for 6 hours in crock-pot.
Mashed Taters:
- Bring 5 cups water, 4 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground black pepper, and 2 sticks butter to a boil in a large pot on the stove, over high heat.
- Once boiling, *TURN OFF HEAT*.
- Add 4 cups milk.
- Stir 6 cups instant mashed potato flakes in, slowly, stirring constantly.
- (Add more or less flakes, depending on how thick you want the mashed potatoes.)
- Stir, stir, stir, until it's smooth and creamy.
- Serve beef tips over the mashed potatoes, or if you'd rather, you could serve it over white rice, or egg noodles.
