How to make it

  • Slice potatoes from the short side almost to bottom.
  • Gently pull apart slices and salt and pepper.
  • Add sliced onion pieces between potato slices.
  • Add butter slices between potato slices.
  • Wrap each potato in heavy duty foil and seal well.
  • Place on pre-heated grill.
  • Baked for 1 hour or until potatoes are soft when pressed, turning occasionally.
  • Remove from grill and let sit for 10 minutes before unwrapping.
  • Serve with you favorite baked potato toppings.

    When I try this, I think I'll make it in the oven instead. Sounds like a great winter comfort food.
