Cheesy Mushroom Bread

- 1 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 pound sliced fresh Baby Bella mushrooms shopping list
- 6 green onions, chopped shopping list
- 1 loaf Italian bread shopping list
- 1/2 cup softened butter shopping list
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Slice bread in half horizontally. Using your fingers pull out most of the soft bread to form a hollow shell. Save pulled-out bread for another use.
- Melt 1 T. butter and 1 T. olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
- Add mushrooms and onions and saute until tender. Remove from skillet.
- In bowl, mix together 1/2 cup softened butter, sauteed mushrooms and onions, cheese and garlic.
- Spread the mixture on both cut sides of bread. Place the bread, cut sides up, on baking sheet (cover baking sheet with foil).
- Bake in preheated oven until the cheese has melted, about 10 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.
- Cut in wedges to serve.
