From Tivomaniac 8 years agoIngredients
- 16 jalapenos shopping list
- 8 oz cream cheese at room temp shopping list
- 4-6 oz shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- left over pulled pork (what I like to use) or some little smokies (which most recipes will call for) shopping list
- 1 pound of bacon with each strip cut length wise for easier use later shopping list
- 1 tsp or so of your favorite BBQ rub or other spice mixture shopping list
How to make it
- Take the jalapenos and split them length wise and scoop out the seeds and membranes (unless you like spicy and then heck leave them in). Mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and pulled pork if you are using that and the BBQ rub.
- Then each jalapeno half and stuff them with the mixture. Take the bacon and wrap it around each jalapeno. Then off to your smoker. Smoke them at 250 for about 60-90 minutes usually does the trick but they are pretty forgiving so you can go lower temp for longer time but try not to do them too much hotter you want them to be able to smoke some. If you don't have a smoker you can do them on the grill with indirect heat they will just not have that great smokey flavor.
