How to make it

  • First you want to scrub the lemon to remove surface impurities; rinse and dry well.
  • Then add the olive oil in a small heavy saucepan.
  • Next use a zester, add lemon zest directly to olive oil.
  • Now add bay leaf and peppercorns.
  • Then you can heat oil over medium low flamefor 10 minutes.
  • Now remove from flame and cool slightly.
  • Then you can transfer oil to hot, sterilized bottle and seal.
  • Note: This can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 months.
