Snickerdoodle Cookies

- 1 cup soft shortening shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 medium to large eggs, beaten shopping list
- 2 3/4 cups AP flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoons sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat over to 400 degrees (F)
- Mix the 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon together and set aside.
- Cream together 1 cup shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and 2 beaten eggs.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt into the bowl with the shortening, sugar and eggs.
- Mix together just until everything in incorporated.
- Using your hands, roll the dough into balls about the size of small walnuts.
- Roll the balls into the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Do not press them down. They will flatten out as they bake.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should be slightly golden at the edges. Remove to cool on wire racks.
- Note: These can burn quickly. They may not look like they are done, but do not bake them for more than 10 minutes or they will burn on the bottom.
