Drunken Turkey Bombs

- Cream cheese filling shopping list
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp dried parsley shopping list
- 1/2 tsp Zatarains Garlic and Herb spice shopping list
- Meat mixture: shopping list
- 2 pounds ground turkey shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1 tsp Zatarains Garlic and Herb spice or creole spice shopping list
- Dash pepper shopping list
- 1 green onion sliced shopping list
- 7 jalapeño peppers, seeded and sliced in quarters( fourths) shopping list
- 14 slices thin slices bacon, cut in half shopping list
- Sauce shopping list
- 1 cup favorite BBQ sauce shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup or more bourbon shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl, mix the ingredients for the cream cheese together
- In another bowl, mix together the meat ingredients
- Form into meatballs
- Cut jalapeños in. Half and remove seeds and membrane .
- Cut each in half again to make quarters,
- Cut bacon in half
- To assemble: stuff jalapeños with cream cheese mixture then mold a turkey ball around each stuffed jalapeño quarter.
- Next, wrap each ball with a piece of bacon and place on baking sheet. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and drain juices( there will be a lot of juice) from the pan or place the meatballs on another baking pan.
- Brush with bourbon bbq sauce ( recipe follows) and return to oven and continue to cook another 10-14 minutes or until bacon
- Serve with additional BBQ bourbon sauce on side
