From grumblebee 8 years agoIngredients
- 5 sheets nori shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup sunflower seeds shopping list
- 1 lemon, juiced shopping list
- 2 tbsp tahini shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp Bragg’s liquid aminos or soy sauce or tamari shopping list
- 1 garlic clove, minced shopping list
- 1/4 tsp powdered ginger, or to taste shopping list
- black pepper, to taste shopping list
- Water shopping list
- Handful chopped scallions or sprouts shopping list
How to make it
- Place all ingredients, except for nori, in a food processor and whiz until it’s smooth.
- With motor running, drizzle in enough water for the pate to be thick, but easy to spread
- To assemble cigars:
- Cut a sheet of nori in half. Spread each half with two generous dollops of pate:
- Using a knife or spatula spread the pate in a thin, even layer over the nori. If using sprouts and/or scallions, now is the time to lay some on the coated nori.
- Next, beginning at the shorter end of the sheet, roll the nori carefully up to make a single cigar. Continue with the rest of the sheets of nori, until you’ve got about 8 or 10 cigars. You can then either leave them as large cigars, or slice them carefully with a sharp serrated knife into little "sushi" shaped pieces.
