I have only had this dish once and I finally found a recipe for it. The pepper was evenly coated in a flaky crust.

- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 teaspoons shortening, melted shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten shopping list
- 1 1/2 pound medium or large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined shopping list

How to make it
- directions
- Fold flour, water, shortening, salt, and pepper into egg whites. Dip shrimp in mixture, and fry in deep hot oil until golden.
- I think I would use coarse ground black pepper and sprinkle it on the shrimp after coated in egg white and flour. You would get an evenly coated pepper on the coat shrimp
