How to make it

  • 1. Pick or buy the mushrooms. See Photo
  • 2. Set up your dehydrator and get everything ready.
  • • Arrange the mushrooms on the drying racks. Don't pack them so tightly that they're sitting on top of each other.
  • • I like to dry continuously on a lower setting, no higher than 150 degrees. Sure it may take a little longer, but there's less risk of damaging your mushrooms.
  • • Check on them every few hours and remove when they're cracker dry. Depending on how many you have, this may take a while and some may dry faster than others.
  • • Have a glass of wine. See Photo
  • • Remove from the dehydrator and pack, loosely, in an airtight container. See Photo
  • • Store in a cool, dark place.
