Ham & Cheese Ziti

- • One 16 oz. (500 g.) package ziti, I used thick, homemade egg noodle pasta bits. shopping list
- • 1/4 cup butter, cubed. shopping list
- • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. shopping list
- • 2 cups milk. shopping list
- • 2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese, or cheese of your choice. shopping list
- • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. minced garlic. shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp. FG pepper. shopping list
- • 3 cups cubed fully cooked ham. shopping list
- • One 10 oz. (280 g) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Cook ziti according to package directions.
- 2. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add milk. Bring to a simmer; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
- 3. Reduce heat; add the cheeses, garlic and pepper. Cook and stir until cheese is melted.
- 4. Drain ziti; add to sauce mixture. Stir in ham and spinach. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. (33 X 23 cm) baking dish.
- 5. Bake, uncovered, at 375 F (190 C) for 20-25 minutes or until cheeses are melted and combo is heated through. The combo should be light golden on top.
- 6. Remove from oven, cover with a dish towel and let rest for a few minutes.
- 7. Serve.
