Philippineo Pork Adobo

- • 2 lbs. (1 kg.) pork shoulder, cut into large bite size pieces. shopping list
- • 1 Tbs. garlic, minced or crushed, more to taste. shopping list
- • 5 dried bay leaves. shopping list
- • 4 Tbs. vinegar. shopping list
- • ½ cup soy sauce. shopping list
- • 1 Tbs. whole pepper corn. shopping list
- • 2-3 Bird’s eye chilies, chopped. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. pepper infused oil. shopping list
- • 1 cup water. shopping list
- • Salt to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Combine the pork, soy sauce, Birds Eye chilies and garlic then marinate for at least 1 hour. Longer is good.
- 2. Remove the meat from the marinade and let drain.
- 3. Heat the pot, add oil and brown the pork on all sides.
- 4. Add water, whole pepper corn, and dried bay leaves then bring to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes to 1 hour
- 5. Put-in the vinegar and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes
- 6. Add salt to taste
- 7. Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
- Steamed or fried rice and some steamed green veggies are naturals See Photo. Had some veggie spring rolls in the freezer and used those. Have never hit on just the right wine for Adobo but Saki is very nice. See Photo
