How to make it

  • Peel, core and cut apples into small pieces, add to a heavy saucepan
  • Add apple cider, bring to boil and reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes
  • Add remaining ingredients, stir to combine, return to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until thick and apples are tender
  • Cool slightly
  • Mash apples with a potato masher, if you want it smoother. Or add apple butter to food processor and blend until desired consistency
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator

    Hi NPMarie..... I would say about a month to 6 weeks once it is opened? When I made it last year we had company and it went fast.
