Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Amazing cookies! I remember the good old days when I was a kid and could eat whatever I wanted. Man I miss those days when I make these!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. butter shopping list
- 2 2/3 c. brown sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 2 1/4 c. flour shopping list
- 4 c. oatmeal shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 6 tbsp. flour shopping list
- 1 c. milk shopping list
- 1 c. crisco shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 2 c. powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Scoop and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. When cool, sandwich cookies with 2 tbsp. filling. Enjoy!
- Filling: Boil the flour and milk together until thick, chill until completely cold. Add the remaining ingredients and beat for 4 minutes.
