Baked Italian Sub Sandwich

- • 6 hoagie rolls, split. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 cup Italian dressing. Try Leone’s V/S Vinaigrette Dressing, posted a while back. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 lb sliced deli style roast beef. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 lb sliced deli turkey. No turkey around so I used duck breast, which I did deli style. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 lb sliced deli style ham. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 lb sliced Monterey jack or Provolone cheese. (Any cheese you like). shopping list
- • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced. shopping list
- • 1 jar roasted red bell peppers. shopping list
- • 1⁄2 medium onion, thinly sliced. shopping list
- • Salt and FG pepper to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 F. (175 C.).
- 2. Brush the cut sides of the rolls with Italian Dressing.
- 3. Layer the bottom halves with Meats, Cheeses, Onion, roasted bell peppers and Tomato.
- 4. Replace Hoagie tops.
- 5. Wrap each sandwich tightly in foil.
- 6. Bake 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- 7. Remove foil and serve.
- If serving as a meal, coleslaw is a natural side.
